Emergency Vehicle Courses

Welcome to the official home of the nationally recognized Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) training programs. For decades, fire departments, ambulance services, and public safety agencies have trusted the CEVO curriculum to improve operator skills and reduce the risks inherent in emergency response.

Our courses provide the critical knowledge needed for ambulance and fire apparatus operators to drive safely and effectively, protecting themselves, their vehicle, their crew, and the public.

What is CEVO® Training?

CEVO® is a specialized Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) that utilizes the proven, participant-based “Coaching” method. Rather than a simple lecture, our training encourages discussion and deep engagement with the material. The primary objective of the CEVO program is to prevent collisions by training operators to recognize potential hazards and act defensively. It is the gold standard for emergency vehicle driver training.

We offer distinct training paths for ambulance and fire apparatus operators, including both classroom instruction and practical, hands-on maneuvering skills.

The guide includes complete instructions for setting up and conducting maneuvering exercises that test an operator’s ability to handle any challenge they might encounter on the road.
